What is a taroscope?

A taroscope combines tarot symbolism with the twelve zodiac signs. Instead of a horoscope based on current planetary transits, it reads a tarot card through each sign's element, qualities and traditional correspondences. Midnight Ritual's free taroscope uses a thirteen card spread: Aries through Pisces around the wheel, plus one centre card that connects the reading.

Use the cards as prompts for reflection, journaling or setting an intention. Read your sign's card on its own, then compare it with the centre card to see how your personal theme fits the wider spread.

How to use this zodiac tarot spread

  1. Choose your time frame. Select today, this week, this month or this zodiac season. The date range appears beside the selected period.
  2. Set an intention. Add a question or area of life to reflect on, or leave the intention blank for a general reading.
  3. Choose a shared or personal shuffle. The shared reading uses the same cards for everyone in the selected period. Shuffle your own for a separate draw. You can also allow reversed cards.
  4. Read the spread. View the cards in a circle or a line. Select a card to jump to its interpretation, including its elemental relationship with the sign.
  5. Add your personal layer. Select your Sun, Moon and Rising signs, then copy or download the text of your reading.

Daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal taroscopes

A daily taroscope offers a short focus for the day. Choose a weekly taroscope to reflect on a broader pattern, or a monthly taroscope for an ongoing theme. The zodiac season option follows the selected season's date range. These settings change the reading's time frame; they do not calculate live planetary positions.

Reading your Sun, Moon and Rising signs

Your Sun sign provides the tool's core self perspective, your Moon sign adds an emotional perspective, and your Rising sign adds a perspective on how you meet the world. If you know all three, compare their cards rather than expecting a single card to describe everything. You can use the natal chart tool to explore your birth chart.

Explore the cards behind your reading

Visit the tarot card meanings library for upright and reversed meanings across the 78 card deck. For a smaller spread, try a one card tarot reading or a three card tarot spread. You can also explore the daily horoscope or return to all free occult tools.

Taroscope questions

Is this taroscope free?

Yes. You can draw the spread, read every sign, add your personal signs, and copy or download the write up without creating an account.

Which zodiac signs are included?

The spread includes Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Each sign receives one card, and the centre card supplies the shared theme.

Why do I get the same cards when I shuffle?

Shared reading is designed to give everyone the same thirteen cards for the chosen period. Select Shuffle my own for a personal draw.

What do reversed tarot cards mean?

A reversed card is read as the card's energy blocked, delayed, turned inward or expressed in excess. Choose Allow reversals to include them, or Upright only for a simpler reading.

Does this calculate my astrological houses?

No. The house descriptions use the natural zodiac sequence, with Aries associated with the first house through Pisces with the twelfth. They are symbolic associations, not the calculated houses of your personal birth chart.

Is a taroscope a prediction?

This tool offers symbolic interpretations for reflection. A tarot card does not establish what will happen; use the reading to explore a question, notice patterns and consider your own choices.
